The Single Tier Sphinx Whitetail Antler Chandelier is a handcrafted, single-tier lighting fixture built for reading nooks, kitchen dining areas, and other spaces that call for a smaller, single-tier design.

This single tier sphinx chandelier is built from a minimum of twelve genuine, naturally shed whitetail deer antlers, wired with six candle-style light fixtures. At 25″-29″ in diameter and 10″-14″ tall, it’s sized for rooms where a larger multi-tier chandelier would feel out of place.

Why the Single Tier Sphinx Fits Smaller Spaces

Because it keeps to a single tier, the Sphinx has a lower profile than our two-tier designs, which is why it works so well over a reading table, a kitchen dining area, or a breakfast nook with a lower ceiling. It ships fully wired with six light fixtures, and you can choose 25, 40, or 60 watt bulbs depending on how much brightness the room calls for, in either warm 2700K or cool white 3000K color temperatures.

Like every fixture we build, it’s UL certified under File E238337 for both the US and Canada, so it installs like any standard hardwired ceiling fixture with no special wiring required, and every bulb is fully dimmable.

Because it hangs only 10″-14″ tall, it’s an easy fit for standard 8-foot ceilings, and its 25″-29″ diameter keeps it in scale over a smaller table without crowding the room the way a larger chandelier would.

How the Single Tier Sphinx Is Handcrafted

Every piece starts with naturally shed whitetail deer antlers, hand-selected for size and shape before at least twelve of them are fitted together into the finished frame. Nothing is cast or molded to imitate antler – every piece is real, naturally shed or sustainably sourced material, assembled by hand in the workshop.

Choose a natural finish for the warm, mottled color the antler grows in, or bleached white for a lighter look that suits contemporary interiors. Add fabric shades over each of the six lights for $30 per shade if you’d like to soften the glow further, a nice option for a dining area or reading nook.

Real antler is a natural material, so a little care keeps it looking its best for years. Dust it occasionally with a soft, dry cloth or a can of compressed air to reach between the tines, and keep it away from direct steam or constant high humidity, such as a shower stall or a stovetop.
