Mule Deer Antler Chandelier – Shoshone

ANTLER TYPE: Mule deer

Price range: $3,595.00 through $4,155.00

The Shoshone is an 8-light mule deer antler chandelier with a captivating western look, and the first chandelier Dante and founder Jim built together. At 32 to 36 inches across and just 19 to 21 inches tall, it’s a favorite over dining tables or hung in a series down a hallway or entry. Its fuller build uses more antler than our Sawtooth on the same frame, and every antler is drilled and wired by hand. Handmade by Dante Martin in our workshop.

Description

A Founding Design With Real Presence

The Shoshone holds a special place in our shop: it’s the first chandelier Dante and founder Jim built together, and it’s still one of our favorites. It’s an 8-light mule deer antler chandelier built wide and low, 32 to 36 inches across but only 19 to 21 inches tall, so it spreads light over a table without hanging down into the room.

Why It Looks So Full

The Shoshone is built fuller and denser than many antler chandeliers its size. Mule deer antlers are layered and interwoven so their forked tines cross over one another, giving it depth from every angle. Dante Martin, the single builder behind every UL-listed piece we make, hand-selects naturally shed antler for each build and wires every antler internally.

Where It Works Best

Its low profile suits dining tables, kitchen islands and living rooms with standard 8 to 10 foot ceilings. Hung in a series of two or three down a hallway or entry, Shoshones read as one continuous run of antler.

Choose natural antler in our signature rich brown, or bleached white for a lighter, more neutral look. Eight candelabra lights take 25 to 60 watt bulbs (included) in warm 2700K or cool 3000K, and the fixture is dimmable. It ships with 6, 10 or 20 feet of chain, and rawhide shades and real antler socket covers are optional.

Mule Deer Antler Chandelier – Shoshone FAQ

What type of antler is the Shoshone made from?

Real mule deer antler, naturally shed, ethically sourced and hand-selected by Dante Martin for size, shape and color. It’s never resin or cast.

Is the Shoshone UL certified?

Yes. It’s UL Listed as a finished fixture for the US and Canada (File E238337) and installs like a standard hardwired chandelier. It’s dimmable, and bulbs are included.

How big is the Shoshone, and what ceiling height does it need?

It’s 32 to 36 inches across, 19 to 21 inches tall and 30 to 35 pounds, with 8 lights. Its low profile suits standard 8 to 10 foot ceilings.

Can I hang more than one Shoshone in a row?

Yes. Many customers hang two or three down a hallway or entry, or over a long table or kitchen island. Each is built by hand from real antler, so they’ll be close in size but never identical.

What makes the Shoshone different from other mule deer chandeliers?

It was the first chandelier Dante and Jim built together, and it’s layered more densely than most fixtures its size, so it looks full from every side.

What options are available?

Natural or bleached white antler, warm or cool light, 6, 10 or 20 feet of chain, rawhide shades at $25 each, and real antler socket covers.

How long does it take to build and ship?

It’s built to order in 6 to 10 weeks and shipped in a custom crate by freight. Freight to the continental US is $550.
