Why the Osprey Mule Deer Antler Chandelier Fits Dining Rooms and Entryways
It ships fully wired with four light fixtures rated for 25, 40, or 60 watt bulbs, so you can set the exact brightness a dining table or entry hall calls for, and every bulb is dimmable for softer evening light. Choose warm 2700K or cool white 3000K bulbs to match the rest of your fixtures.
Like every fixture we build, it’s UL certified under File E238337 for both the US and Canada, so it installs like any standard hardwired ceiling fixture with no special wiring required.
How the Osprey Mule Deer Antler Chandelier Is Handcrafted
Every piece starts with genuine Rocky Mountain mule deer antlers, hand-selected for size and shape before they’re fitted together into the finished frame. Every antler piece is real, naturally shed, ethically sourced material, assembled by hand in the workshop. Socket covers are resin as standard – producing them from genuine antler would mean cutting into an additional elk or large mule deer antler and wasting much of it for a part that is barely visible once installed. Real-antler socket covers are available as a $45-per-cover upgrade for customers who want every detail in genuine antler.
Choose a rich natural brown finish for the warm, mottled color the antler grows in, or sunbleached white for a lighter look that suits contemporary interiors. Add rawhide shades over each of the four lights for $25 per shade if you’d like to soften the glow further, as shown installed over the dining nook above.
Because every antler is a little different, no two of these fixtures are ever perfectly identical, which is part of what makes a real antler piece feel handmade rather than mass-produced off a shelf.
The Osprey ships with adjustable chain, so it can be shortened or lengthened to fit ceilings anywhere from about 8 to 12 feet, and a matching ceiling canopy is included to cover the mounting point at installation. Its wide, wing-like antler spread pairs naturally with rustic, mountain-modern, or transitional interiors, and it looks just as fitting centered over a round pedestal table as it does anchoring a long farmhouse-style table in an entryway or foyer.
Because it’s a mid-size, single-tier design, the Osprey also works well as a secondary fixture in a home that already has a larger antler chandelier in the great room, giving matching rooms a consistent look without repeating the exact same scale in every space. If you’re outfitting more than one room, we’re happy to help you plan sizing and finish across multiple fixtures so everything reads as part of one collection.
If you need something larger in the same family, browse our full chandelier collection, including the multi-tier Deerlodge chandelier, to see the full range of sizes we offer.
Real antler is a natural material, so a little care keeps it looking its best for years. Dust it occasionally with a soft, dry cloth or a can of compressed air to reach between the tines, and keep it away from direct steam or constant high humidity, such as a shower stall or a stovetop.
With basic care, a piece like the Osprey is built to last – a mid-size design with the same handcrafted, one-of-a-kind character as our largest fixtures. We ship anywhere in the US and to many other countries, and we’re happy to help you select the right size and finish for your room.
If you have shed antlers on hand, we can incorporate them into a custom piece like this one — learn how we use your antlers.

Gail Martin –
The Osprey chandelier I received is awesome. It was custom built to fit my small dining room. I have received a lot of compliments on its design. And inquiries on where I got it. Everybody who sees it loves it. I also have a table lamp on my nightstand that was custom built from some of my old antlers I sent him. And I also have a floor lamp that was custom built from elk antlers. Everything Dante does looks amazing. Thank you.
Dante Martin –
Gail, thank you so much! I’m glad the Osprey fits your dining room just right. Turning your own antlers into that nightstand lamp was a special project, and I’m glad the elk floor lamp found a good home too. Thanks for sending folks our way. — Dante
Scott Cupp (verified owner) –
The Osprey mule deer rack chandelier is awesome. It provides just the right amount of ambiance in our new home in the dining room. It did require the installation of a longer chain from the loft ceiling.
Dante Martin –
Scott, thanks for the kind words. The Osprey is a great fit for a dining room. Good call on the longer chain for the loft ceiling. We offer 6, 10 and 20 ft lengths, so anyone with high ceilings should mention it when ordering and we’ll send the right length. Enjoy! — Dante
