Antler Chandelier Hanging Heights
Hanging Height for Dining Room Antler Chandeliers
“With a dining room placement, I prefer a 67 to 72 inch measurement from the floor to the bottom of the chandelier. I am 6 feet tall and I like the bottom of the chandelier right my eyebrow level so I can enjoy an unobstructed view as I look across the table. If the homeowner is taller or shorter, an adjustment is completely appropriate to suit them. That is my preference only and not a standard that is cast in stone.“
Hanging Height for Great Room Antler Chandeliers
Great rooms are long time favorite placements for Antler Chandeliers. The designs we recommend for great rooms are typically Elk Antler Chandeliers or Elk combined with Mule Deer, Whitetail Deer or other antler. Be sure to view our chandelier choices on our “Real Antler Chandeliers” pages.
A great room or entry placement is what I refer to as a “ walk under placement”. In these locations I like to have at least 8 feet from the floor to the bottom of the chandelier and still maintain a minimum of one (1) foot of exposed chain at the top between the top of the chandelier and the ceiling surface. In lodges and large great room placements, I like 9-10 feet from floor to the bottom of chandelier but no more than that is really necessary.
